According to World Economic Forum (WEF) President Mr. Borge Brende, India's G20 presidency would help bring leaders together to discuss working on fighting climate change and establishing norms for emerging technologies.
The World Economic Forum (WEF), located in Geneva, is an international institution fostering public-private partnerships with India.
This year, India holds the G20 Presidency during a period of rising geopolitical tensions, particularly the Russia-Ukraine war, and economic uncertainty.
Mr. Brende predicted a new order with many drivers and a multi-polar world. He sounded "cautiously optimistic" in an interview with PTI about establishing and developing a floor when it comes to an agreement between the large nations and the rest of the globe on traffic regulations and collaboration.
"We will have some derisking, friend shoring, and nearshoring not just in time but also when it comes to global value chains. I hope that 90% of the trade we have today will also continue in the future," he remarked.
