White-collar hiring in January 2025 saw a 4% growth, driven primarily by traditional sectors like Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), pharmaceutical, insurance, and hospitality, marking a positive shift after an 11% decline in January 2024. While the Information Technology (IT) sector showed flat growth as its recovery stabilised, the core sector performed strongly. FMCG saw a 16% increase, insurance 15%, and pharma 11%, along with an 8% rise in hospitality. This growth trend is expected to continue, signaling a strong outlook for white-collar hiring in 2025, according to the Naukri JobSpeak Index.

Regarding regional hiring, Rajasthan stood out, with cities like Jodhpur and Udaipur recording impressive growth rates of 35% and 32%, respectively, and Jaipur also showing a 21% increase. Non-traditional hubs are contributing to this growth across various sectors, including aviation and aerospace, which experienced a 33% YoY growth, with Delhi-NCR seeing a remarkable 77% surge. The hiring growth in these sectors is particularly focused on mid-level professionals, with a 22% increase in hiring for individuals with four to seven years of experience.
