World Bank's G20 document praised India's financial inclusion via digital public infrastructure

The World Bank found that India had reached financial inclusion targets in just six years, which would have otherwise taken at least 47 long years, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, on September 8, 2023, revealed this information. The World Bank included this information in its G20 document.

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi shared a thread on X (formerly known as Twitter) stating, “India's leap in financial inclusion, powered by Digital Public Infrastructure!”

The Prime Minister also praised the country’s robust digital payment infrastructure along with the spirit of the country’s people. Furthermore, he added that it is equally a testament to the rapid progress and innovation.
