Speaking at the inauguration of Voice of Global South: For human-centric development, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi stated the importance of the ‘equivalent voice’ of the Global South on the international platform and reiterated that their voice is the voice of India, and their priorities are of India as well.

The Voice of Global South Summit aims to bring together the countries of the Global South to share their perspectives and priorities on a common platform. India has always shared its development experience with the Global South, the Prime Minister said. Adding to it, he said that the Global South (including India) has the largest stake in the future and the development partnerships cover all geographies and diverse sectors. India has always stood for the greater role of developing countries in determining the common future.

Mr. Narendra Modi stated that with India’s G20 Presidency, the country’s aim is to amplify the Voice of the Global South. He also said that Indians believe that the path to realizing 'oneness' is through human-centric development and the people of the Global South should together attempt to redesign global political and financial governance. He also called for a global agenda of 'Respond, Recognize, Respect, and Reform' to re-energise the world.
