Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated Hyderabad-based space startup Skyroot’s Infinity Campus, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of India’s private space ecosystem. He highlighted that India now boasts the third-largest startup ecosystem globally and is witnessing unprecedented momentum in the space sector, driven by innovation, risk-taking, and entrepreneurial dynamism among young founders. The new facility reflects the country’s renewed focus on integrating private industry into advanced technology domains through progressive space reforms and a forward-looking national space policy. Positioned as a cornerstone for next-generation aerospace development, the campus strengthens India’s capabilities in satellite launch services and orbital technologies.

Spread across approximately 2,00,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art Infinity Campus is designed to support the complete lifecycle of launch vehicle development, including design, integration, testing, and production. It has the capacity to manufacture one orbital rocket every month, underscoring its role in scaling rapid deployment capabilities. The facility also unveiled Skyroot’s first orbital rocket, Vikram-I, engineered to launch satellites into orbit, further reinforcing India’s growing competence in commercial space missions. By combining advanced infrastructure with indigenous innovation, the campus positions India to capitalise on the expanding global space economy and accelerate its transformation into a competitive launch services hub.
