Zydus Wellness Q4 net profit surges 92.6 pc to Rs. 133.13 crore

Zydus Wellness registered a 92.66% increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs. 133.13 crore (US$ 18.15 million) for the fourth quarter of FY21, due to strong revenues.

Zydus Wellness recorded a net profit of Rs. 69.10 crore (US$ 9.42 million) for the same duration the previous fiscal, according to a BSE filing.

for the fourth quarter of FY21, the company's total revenues were Rs. 600.75 crore (US$ 81.92 million). It was Rs. 484.76 crore (US$ 66.10 million) a year ago, according to the report.

Zydus Wellness recorded a net profit of Rs. 118.73 crore (US$ 16.19 million) for the fiscal year ended March 2021, compared to Rs. 141.72 crore (US$ 19.32 million) the previous fiscal year.

For the fiscal year 2020-21, the company's total revenues were Rs. 1,853.66 crore (US$ 252.76 million) as against Rs. 1,734.19 crore (US$ 236.47 million) in FY20, according to the report.

As of March 2021, Zydus Wellness said, five of its brands, Glucon-D, Sugar-Free, EverYuth Scrub, Peel Off Face Mask, and Nycil, sustained their leadership positions in their respective categories.

The company's Board of Directors has approved a final dividend of Rs. 5 (US$ 0.068) per equity share of Rs. 10 (US$ 0.14) for the Financial Year 2020-21, according to the statement.

In a separate filing, Zydus Wellness stated that its board of directors has approved Mr. Kulin S Lalbhai's reappointment as an Independent Director for a second five-year term beginning November 18, 2021.

Zydus Wellness' stock closed at Rs. 2,108.95 (US$ 28.76) on the BSE.
