Basmati Rice

Also called the ‘King of Rice’, Basmati is the oldest of all grains. The grain is known for its rich quality and is consumed widely across the country. They are popularly categorized into two variants: brown and white. They release a rich aroma and offer great health benefits. India leads the global market when it comes to exporting Basmati Rice. Much of the Basmati cultivation takes place in Punjab with 890,207 tonnes valuing USD 790 Million (in the fiscal year).
