Hospitals check into hotels as medical tourism booms
The boom in medical tourism is encouraging hospitals and hoteliers to strike alliances with each other. According to industry estimates, the market size of medical tourism in India is growing at over 25 per cent annually at over US$ 2.5 billion. The segment's growing business potential prompted the ITC group to set up the 58-room Fortune Park Lake City business hotel at the Jupiter LifeLine Hospitals complex in Thane, near Mumbai, to serve medical tourists. Apollo Hospitals is exploring similar tie-ups with neighbourhood hotels.
India has witnessed several trends recently across various sectors ranging from Information technology, education, sports, digital infrastructure and green technology. Many companies and institutions like Infosys and Indian Institute of Management-Ahmadabad, have received awards and accolades for some wonderful work that has showcased as the best in their respective fields.

Delhi airport emerges as the best retail location for luxury brands like Swarovski, M&S & Hidesign
Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India, is the most lucrative retail location for luxury brands like Swarovski, M&S, Hidesign and many more, it has generated sales of 5,000 per square feet per month in 2011. This figure includes sales from duty-free shops, but regular shops too are buzzing here.
Google has announced a unique marketing initiative with public Wi-Fi provider O-Zone Networks. This program is aimed at encouraging mobile internet usage and getting consumer experiences of Google+ and YouTube on their portable devices while away from work and home. Though the tie-up is for three months, O-Zone is in talks with Google to make it a long-term contract.

Asking the right questions
Giri Balasubramaniam, affectionately called Pickbrain, founded Greycaps India Pvt Limited in Bengaluru in 1999. It is now the country’s second largest quiz company. Balasubramaniam wanted to make quizzing entertaining, easier and more widely sought.
Imli Toshi Namo, a young innovator from Northeast India develops affordable machine that processes bamboo at 25 times the speed of manual processing. The prototype and its improvement cost him INR 300,000 (US$ 6,725).
